About
My name is Christopher Church and I’ve worked in information technology for the last seventeen years.
My networking career started 1992 with Novell NetWare 3.x. I obtained my Certified Netware Engineer (CNE) certification in 1994. At the time I was working for an office equipment dealer and was fortunate enough to be put in charge of building their network consulting and services business unit. It was a good company and over the years I gained extensive experience with a wide range of products and technologies including Cisco, VMWare, HP, Dell, Equallogic, EMC, and Sonicwall, to name a few.
Prior to my IT career, I worked for a small telco. While it seemed like I spent most of my time digging trenches and splicing cable, I managed to learn the basics of telephony, how to troubleshoot, and the importance of planning and building a reliable infrastructure. That experience has stuck with me to this day.
Fast forward to 2009. I work for a Cisco partner as their Director of Professional Services. We’re also a Dell and VMware partner, so I get the opportunity to work on a number of storage and virtualization projects as well.
This blog is a companion to my Cisco CCVP blog on WordPress.
In my career I’ve held engineer, team lead, supervisory, and management positions. I enjoy being in front of the customer, helping them solve problems, and having a positive impact on their business. My certifications include a CCVP, CCNA, MCSE, MCTS/Exchange 2007, VMware Technical Sales Professional (VTSP) and Security+.
